Company and Seniors had a night at the Fort camping.
Fort Widley, one of the Victorian Forts on Portsdown Hill was the venue for a night under canvas for nice lads. Good weather enabled us to learn some practical tent craft before cooking dinner ‘expedition’ style. Lots of games were played in the large field started after dinner and tidying up. We then headed off on a night walk round behind the hill and were able to find a geocache along the way and before we stopped in a clearing for some wide games. Hot chocolate with smores completed the night as the boys settled in to their tents.
Sleep was at a premium, thanks mainly to the resident cockerel who had set his alarm for around 4am.
