Company is for boys aged 14 to 18 years old.
Our Senior section meet every Monday during term time from 19:30 til 21:30, taking part in a programme that is built around six areas; Get Active, Get Adventurous, Get Creative, Get into the Bible, Get Involved and Get Learning. Senior members are encouraged to undertake leadership roles and help develop the programme they participate in.
Company members are recognised for their participation in activities by a series of badges through their time in the group. In Company boys also have the opportunity to have nights away on camps and sleepovers.
Awards
In addition to being able to gain awards for participation in the programme, Senior members can also take part in other schemes to work towards recognised awards and achievements. These include Boys’ Brigade awards such as the Young Volunteer scheme, The President’s Badge and the highest award in The Boys’ Brigade, The Queen’s Badge. We are also offer the chance for Seniors to take part in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, providing support and training as they undertake this internationally recognised scheme.
Our Uniform
We have our own uniform consisting of navy blue sweatshirt and a blue polo shirt. This is paired with dark trousers (school trousers are fine) and black shoes. We encourage all the boys to wear the uniform once they are settled in the section. Once a boy has been coming for a few weeks a leader will discuss with you the options for buying new or our good used uniform that we have available.
The Cost
We have a termly subscription model of £25 per term, which equates to around £2 per week. We would not want any boy to miss out due to cost, so if there are difficulties please speak to one of the leaders in confidence.
How to join?
The easiest way is to come along one Monday evening to meet us. However, we’d love to know you are coming so we can ensure we are aware and that his first evening can be seemless.
