1st Waterlooville Company

We can't function without the time, effort and energy of our volunteers as all our leaders are one.

What can I do?

The best thing a volunteer can give a young person is their time. Our leaders shape the programme, so any skills that you have you can teach the young people. You could get involved with one or more of the sections:

  • Anchors
  • Juniors
  • Company
  • Seniors
There are also administration tasks and simply being in attendance to ensure that we have sufficient adult helpers for our regular Monday night activities, battalion competitions or days out that can help with keeping the smooth running of the company. All we ask is that you have an enthusiasm for children and young people.

How often?

We love to have you help every week, but we understand that people have busy lives. We'd be glad if you could offer a few weeks, a couple of times a year.

Do I Need to be a Christian?

Our key leaders are all appointed by the church and are involved here at Waterlooville Baptist Church or other churches in the local area, as BB is an important part of our church outreach. To volunteer your time to share your skills with the children all we would ask is that you sympathise with the Christian basis of Boys' Brigade.

How do I join

Firstly, come and see us or speak to one of the team, we see where you could help and what you would enjoy doing. Our leaders are appointed by the church and before anyone starts working with our young people they are required to complete an enhanced DBS check. All leaders are registered with The Boys' Brigade UK and

You can get in contact with us to let us know or if you have any other questions. We will look forward to seeing you.
